UNSUNG HEROES As with any club or activity, a group of individuals, who are not club members, always have a positive effect on outcome of any project. It does not matter if the activity is one of our many service projects, community contributions or fund raising activities.
The Merced Breakfast Lions Club is privileged to
be associated with the following:
2008/2009 Unsung Hero of the Year
Andy Vega
Lion Maria Vega’s husband Andy has been very dedicated in his services to the Merced Breakfast Lions Club. The amount of energy and time he has given to various projects, such as the selling of fireworks, for example, would be highly commendable even if he were a member of our organization. Andy is always in good spirits, assists his Lion wife, and asks other members what he can do to help. The various projects he decided to become involved with often require several hours of commitment. On behalf of my fellow Lions, I declare Andy Vega to be strongly deserving of the 2009 ‘Unsung Hero’ award. Godspeed, Andy! Marco Rudolf, President 2008-2009 Patricia Dancy The 2008 Merced Breakfast Lions Club Unsung Hero. It did not matter to Pat, if the MBLC event was outside or indoors, hot or cold, or what the project was. The Ciopinno Dinner, the Rigatoni Bowl, Lene’s Garden Walk or numerous other MBLC events, all benefited from Pat’s assistance. And she was also a big help to her Husband, Lion Walt Dancy.
